Mr. Gasper Jn. Baptiste, Deputy Chief Elections Officer of the Saint Lucia Electoral Department has been selected to form part of a CARICOM Election Observer Mission to the Bahamas to observe its General Elections on May 7th, 2012. He has been appointed to serve in the capacity of Deputy Head of Mission.
Mr. Jn. Baptiste is due to travel to the Bahamas from Tuesday May 1st in preparation for the elections. He is scheduled to return on May 11th, 2012.
Earlier this year Mr. Jn. Baptiste also observed Legislative and Municipal Elections in El Salvador from February 8th to 13th, 2012. He was the only representative from the English-Speaking Caribbean on the mission.
